Explore! school receives noteworthy recognition
Sep 21, 2022 JJCA Improving the Human Experience

Improving the human experience is what we do every day, and we love to see our clients receive outstanding recognition for what they do to impact communities. Martha O’Bryan Center recently announced that both charter schools, East End Prep and Explore! Community School, have earned 2022 Reward School designations from the Tennessee Department of Education.

This is a big deal! This noteworthy award identifies top-performing schools in the state. Both East End and Explore! also achieved Level 5 TVAAS scores for 2022, which is the state’s highest ranking for schools that show academic growth.

“For many students at East End Prep and Explore, academic work in school is reinforced with afterschool tutoring and summer camp programs also provided through Martha O’Bryan Center,” says a recent news release.

“This recognition demonstrates our belief that students from any background or any zip code are capable of great success when given access to a high-quality education. We have an exemplary staff of dedicated educators and support staff at each school who are making a real difference in the lives of our students and each other. It is through their efforts and commitment and a shared belief in our school values that make this possible.”

Our JJCA team designed the Explore! Community School, a K-8 school in East Nashville. In fact, Linda Mark shared some heartfelt thoughts about the impact of natural light in Explore! classrooms in our blog from April 29.

We are also working on Martha O’Bryan’s Family Success Center, a 32,000 SF addition that creates a beautiful home for job search training, family counseling, and skills training. We shared about the Center’s groundbreaking event in our blog on January 25.

Congratulations to the administration, staff, students, and families at East End Prep and Explore! And to our Martha O’Bryan Center friends, we’re cheering for all the good work you do in Nashville.

This truly is what improving the human experience is all about.
